The same GCC-trained plate engine that runs in our cloud, installed on a Windows PC or Mac at your location — or, on request, in a container on your own server. One ANPR Edge license covers every camera at a location and reads plates from all six GCC countries. Here is what it costs, what it covers, and where the edges are. ## There are two ways to take it off the cloud They are different products on different commercial models, and mixing them up is the single most common reason a budget comes out wrong. The PC has a list price. The container is quoted. ### ANPR Edge, on a PC at your location One Windows PC or Mac on the same switch as your cameras. It reads the plate, checks it against lists held locally and drives the barrier over your own network. With an ANPR Edge license the models come down onto that machine and plates are read there, so the gate is never waiting on an uplink. ### The engine, in a container you host A Docker image you run on your own server, your own cloud tenancy or an air-gapped rack, against your own GPU. Same models, no desktop application around them, and an interface your code talks to rather than an operator. Start with one camera: plates are read in our cloud and paid from your wallet, from $15 a month. - $0.005 a plate, flat, on every plan - 100 credits free every month, no card - Every country we support, immediately - Nothing to install and nothing to size Not included: Keeping the image inside your network. ### Unlimited cameras, sized by the PC The unlimited license puts no limit on cameras; the PC is the only ceiling, and how many cameras it runs depends on its hardware. We measured 16 cameras running continuously in Parked cars mode, which tracks each car and reads its plate again only when it moves, on an HP Pro Tower 290 G9 with a Core i7 (28 threads) and 34 GB. Lane mode, for a gate or barrier, is lighter: usually up to 4 cameras, on any modern PC — even a micro PC. Past 30 cameras the GPU is what runs out, so the spec moves to an RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB, a Core i9 and 64 GB. Need more cameras? Upgrade the PC. Your license stays the same. ## Start with one camera. Move to a license when you grow. Every license reads plates from all six GCC countries, so there is no country to choose. The only question is how many cameras a location has. Say you run one gate with one camera today and plan three more entrances next year. Start free, move to the 4-camera license when the second camera goes up, and upgrade that license to unlimited later for the difference. The key and the machine stay the same. ### Start free — Edge Free, one camera Install Edge and run one camera with car detection, direction and counting on the PC. Plates are read in our cloud and paid from your wallet, so there is nothing to buy up front. **What it costs:** No license. Plans from $15 a month, with plates read at $0.005 each. ### Small location — Up to 4 cameras For a gate, a small car park or a single entrance. Plates from all six GCC countries are read on your PC, with vehicle make, model and colour included. **What it costs:** $2,500 once per location. Updates after the first year: $450 a year, optional. ### Grow — Unlimited cameras For a mall, a tower or anything with more than 4 cameras. One license covers every camera at the location and the PC is the only limit. A 4-camera license upgrades to unlimited for the difference. **What it costs:** $6,500 once per location, less from the second. Updates after the first year: $1,170 a year, optional. Branches count together: your 2nd to 5th unlimited licenses are $4,000 each and the 6th onward $2,500, and a 4-camera license counts toward that position. Approved integrators get 30% off on top. ## Yes, we ship a container If you would rather host the engine yourself than run a desktop machine at the gate, that is a product we sell — it is just not one with a price on a page. - A Docker image you run on your own server or your own cloud tenancy. - Air-gapped environments are supported; the build makes no outside requests. - Runs against dedicated GPU hardware where the throughput needs it. - Your code talks to the same documented interface, locally. ### Priced per deployment, and it has to be a conversation The Edge PC licenses above do not apply here — those are for the Windows or macOS desktop install, and quoting them for a container would be quoting you the wrong product. A container is scoped on how many lanes it serves, what the models are running on and how it is deployed, which is why it is a number we work out with you rather than one we can print. ## When the data cannot leave the building Some locations cannot let a vehicle image leave their network. The reason varies — a government or defence contract, a banking or healthcare policy, a data-protection regime that limits where personal data may be processed, or a customer who has simply said no. Those obligations differ by market, and this page is not going to tell you what yours says. What it can tell you is which of these modes lets an image off your network at all, which is the part you can check yourself. ### What leaves your network - **Cloud API** — The image leaves your network. This is the mode a residency requirement usually rules out first. - **ANPR Edge, reading against the cloud** — The image leaves your network. Lists, rules and barrier control stay on the machine, so the gate keeps working through an outage — but the image still crosses the boundary. - **ANPR Edge with a license** — Plates from all six GCC countries are read on the machine at your location, so no image leaves your network to be read. The PC checks in with us at least every 3 days for licensing and updates. Need a sealed network? We provide a fully air-gapped deployment on request. - **The engine in your own container** — Nothing leaves your network. You host it on your own hardware, air-gapped if that is the requirement. We are not your legal advisers, and nothing here tells you whether a number plate counts as personal data where you operate — that answer differs between the GCC, the UK and the EU, and it belongs to your counsel rather than to a vendor page. If your requirement goes beyond the boundary above and into how a hosted request is handled, ask us directly and it gets answered in writing, under agreement, rather than on a marketing page. ## On-premise ANPR questions ### How much does on-premise ANPR cost? One ANPR Edge license per location, paid once: $2,500 for up to 4 cameras or $6,500 for unlimited cameras. Every license reads plates from all six GCC countries and includes vehicle make, model and colour. More locations cost less: the 2nd to 5th unlimited license is $4,000 each and the 6th onward $2,500. Nothing bills per read. Hosting the engine in your own container is a different product, quoted per deployment. ### Which countries does a license cover? All six on every license: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. There is no country to choose at checkout and nothing extra to buy when a car from a neighbouring country pulls in. ### How many cameras can one license run? The unlimited license puts no limit on cameras; the 4-camera license covers up to 4. How many cameras one PC runs depends on its hardware: we measured 16 cameras in Parked cars mode on a Core i7 desktop. Need more cameras? Upgrade the PC. Your license stays the same. ### Does ANPR Edge work offline? Plates are read on the PC at your location, so a dropped internet connection does not stop the gate. The PC does check in with us at least every 3 days for licensing and updates. Need a sealed network? We provide a fully air-gapped deployment on request, and the container can run air-gapped too. ### What happens after the first 12 months? The license keeps working indefinitely. It includes 12 months of updates; after that, updates are optional at $1,170 a year per unlimited license or $450 a year per 4-camera license. ### Does on-premise ANPR work with Hikvision and Dahua cameras? Yes. Hikvision is driven over ISAPI and Dahua over CGI, with Modbus TCP relay boards for the barrier. Any camera producing an ONVIF or RTSP stream can be used as a source. ### Do you provide an ANPR SDK? Not as a linkable library. Integration is through the documented API, and on-premise installs expose the same interface locally. ### How fast is recognition without a cloud round trip?
