ANPR Edge license

Pay once per location, use indefinitely: $2,500 for up to 4 cameras, $6,500 for unlimited cameras. The plate and vehicle models run on your Windows PC or Mac, so there is no per-read charge and no per-camera license. Every license reads plates from all six GCC countries and includes vehicle make, model and colour, with 12 months of updates.

More than one location

Unlimited licenses get cheaper as you add locations: the 1st is $6,500, the 2nd to 5th $4,000 each, the 6th and more $2,500 each, and licenses you already own count. After the first 12 months, updates are optional at $1,170 a year per unlimited license or $450 per 4-camera license. The software keeps running without them.

Hosting it yourself in Docker

Both one-time licenses above are for the Windows or macOS Edge PC. Running the engine in Docker on your own server or cloud is a different product on a different commercial model, quoted per deployment — talk to us rather than working from these figures.

Unlimited means the license puts no limit on cameras. How many cameras one PC runs depends on its hardware: we measured 16 cameras running continuously on a Core i7 desktop in Parked cars mode. Need more cameras? Upgrade the PC. Your license stays the same.

A worked three-year total

Numbers only mean something against a scenario, so here is one, stated in full: a two-lane car park reading 500 vehicles a day, each one read twice — once on entry, once on exit. That is 1,000 reads a day, about 30,000 a month.

Change the traffic and the ranking changes with it. That is the point of the exercise, not the totals.

What actually drives the number

Reads, not cameras

Cloud pricing follows how many times a plate is read, not how many cameras are pointed at the lane. Two cameras covering one barrier that fires once is one read.

Lanes, not locations

Hardware pricing follows lanes. A car park with one entrance and three exits is four lanes to a camera vendor, and one license to ANPR Edge.

Where the data has to live

If plates and frames cannot leave the building, the cloud option is off the table regardless of price, and the comparison collapses to on-premise versus hardware.

What it has to talk to

A barrier, a billing system, a resident list. The cost of an ANPR system is usually the integration, not the recognition.
