Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ANPR.software API service ("Service"), operated by Bootstrapped Ventures LLC, a company registered in the Sharjah Media City (Shams) Free Zone, United Arab Emirates, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") in accordance with applicable UAE laws. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ANPR.software provides an API for automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) specifically designed for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The Service includes license plate detection, optical character recognition (OCR), and region classification.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate information
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Keep your API keys secure and confidential
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the privacy rights of individuals
  • Engage in surveillance without proper authorization
  • Track or monitor individuals without their consent
  • Process images you do not have rights to use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer our models or algorithms
  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization. Approved integrators resell ANPR Edge licenses under a signed partner agreement
  • Use the Service, or any output of the Service, to train, fine-tune, distil, evaluate, or benchmark any machine learning model
  • Register or operate multiple accounts to obtain additional free-tier quota or to evade rate limits, suspensions, or billing

Integrators who want to resell ANPR Edge licenses can apply for a partner agreement: become an integrator partner.

4.1 Model Training, Distillation, and Benchmarking

You may not use the Service, any data returned by the Service, or any derivative of that data - including plate strings, bounding boxes, confidence scores, region and vehicle classifications, and any logs or datasets you assemble from them (collectively, "Output") - to train, fine-tune, distil, pre-train, evaluate, validate, or benchmark any machine learning model, neural network, or other automated recognition system, whether your own or a third party's. You may not permit or assist any third party to do so, and you may not sell, license, publish, or otherwise disclose Output to any third party for those purposes. This restriction survives termination of your account and applies to Output obtained under both free and paid plans. Any model, dataset, or system created in breach of this Section is a derivative of the Service, and we reserve all rights and remedies in respect of it.

4.2 Multiple Accounts

You may operate only one account unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Registering, controlling, or coordinating multiple accounts - directly or through affiliates, employees, contractors, or nominees - in order to obtain additional free-tier quota, evade rate limits or usage caps, or avoid suspension, billing, or these Terms is a material breach. We may attribute all such accounts to a single user and suspend or terminate all of them, with or without notice, and without refund of amounts already paid.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Free Tier

Every free account receives 100 free credits every month. Unused free credits do not carry over; the allowance starts again on the first of each month.

5.2 Paid Plans

Paid usage runs on a monthly subscription plan, from USD 15 per month. Each paid invoice credits your wallet with the plan price divided by USD 0.005 (one credit), and the plan sets your rate limit, the number of cameras and barriers ANPR Edge may run, and log retention. Credits are deducted at one credit per plate processed and one credit per vehicle analyzed; an image that yields neither still costs one credit. Credits do not expire. While a subscription is active you may buy additional credits as top-ups at the same price. Upgrades apply immediately, with the prorated difference charged and credited to your wallet; downgrades apply at the next renewal. If you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period paid for, after which your remaining balance is held and restored when you subscribe again. Enterprise pricing is available on request.

5.3 Payment Terms

Payment is due within 30 days of invoice. Late payments may result in service suspension and interest charges.

6. Service Level Agreement

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for the Service. Enterprise customers may negotiate custom SLAs. The SLA does not cover scheduled maintenance or factors outside our control.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including our machine learning models, algorithms, and software, is owned by Bootstrapped Ventures LLC and protected by UAE and international intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the images you submit and the results generated from your images, subject to the use restrictions in Sections 4.1 and 4.2, which continue to apply to those results regardless of ownership.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE 100% ACCURACY AND THE RESULTS SHOULD BE VERIFIED FOR CRITICAL APPLICATIONS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALIDATING RESULTS BEFORE TAKING ACTION BASED ON THEM.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY UAE LAW, BOOTSTRAPPED VENTURES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bootstrapped Ventures LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Breach of Section 4, including Sections 4.1 and 4.2, entitles us to suspend or terminate all affected accounts immediately, without prior notice and without refund of amounts already paid. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases, and any obligation that by its nature should survive - including Sections 4.1, 9, and 10 - continues in force.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including UAE Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 (Civil Transactions Law) and UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah, UAE.
