What it takes to run
- Ordinary IP cameras. No dedicated ANPR hardware — Hikvision over ISAPI, Dahua over CGI, or anything that gives an ONVIF or RTSP stream.
- Whatever barrier is already there. It is driven over ISAPI, CGI or a Modbus relay board, and all three end at the same momentary contact.
- One Windows or macOS machine on the same network as the cameras, or nothing at all if you run against the cloud API instead.
- A list you already keep. A Google Sheet, an uploaded CSV, or rows typed into the app — to a rule they are the same table of plates.
Questions
Can we see which contractor vehicles are still on site?
Yes. When a vehicle is read at entry and has not yet been read leaving, it remains in the current-visit record. Your team can search that record or use it in a workflow.
Can delivery vehicles be kept separate from contractors?
Yes. Keep contractors, suppliers and other vehicle groups in separate lists, then create a workflow that records or notifies differently for each group.
Does it work with a temporary site gate?
Yes, provided the camera has power, network access and a clear view of the plate. A quick site review helps confirm the right camera position before the gate workflow goes live.
