Make every drive-through visit feel more familiar
Recognise returning vehicles as they enter the lane and send useful context to the systems your team already uses. ANPR Edge helps you understand repeat visits, time in lane and the activity behind a smoother customer experience.

The lane sees the customer before the order point does
Drive-through teams work quickly, often with little context about the vehicle pulling up next. A plate read at the lane entrance gives your ordering, loyalty or customer-service system a helpful signal before the conversation begins.
How it runs
- Trigger
A vehicle enters the lane
The entrance camera reads the plate as the vehicle joins the queue. ANPR Edge records the arrival and can recognise a repeat visit without asking the driver to do anything.
- Question
Add the context your team needs
Match the plate to a loyalty or customer record in your own system, or simply add visit frequency and the last visit time. Your existing ordering and payment tools stay in control.
- Action
Use the visit in the right place
Send the arrival or a lane summary to your own system, then use it for a more informed welcome, operational reporting or service-time analysis.
Understand real lane activity
Track visits and time in lane without someone watching video. Your team can see repeat traffic and useful patterns while keeping the focus on service, not manual counts.
Connect to the tools you already use
A workflow can send a plate, camera, time and visit context to your ordering, loyalty or reporting platform. You decide what is shared and what the receiving system does with it.
What it takes to run
- Ordinary IP cameras. No dedicated ANPR hardware — Hikvision over ISAPI, Dahua over CGI, or anything that gives an ONVIF or RTSP stream.
- One Windows or macOS machine on the same network as the cameras, or nothing at all if you run against the cloud API instead.
- A list you already keep. A Google Sheet, an uploaded CSV, or rows typed into the app — to a rule they are the same table of plates.
Questions
Can it show a customer’s previous order?
ANPR can send the recognised plate and visit context to your ordering or loyalty system. Whether that system retrieves and displays a previous order depends on the integration and the customer permissions you set.
Can we measure how long vehicles spend in the lane?
Yes. Entry and exit reads provide the timing for a vehicle’s visit. You can send those events or a summary to the reporting system your operation already uses.
Does every customer need to be on a loyalty programme?
No. Unrecognised vehicles can simply be recorded as ordinary visits. The system can still help you understand lane activity without changing the customer’s journey.
